It is prohibited to use Letre for fraud, forgery of documents, infringement of the rights of third parties or any other unlawful activity.

Letre may refuse to perform an Order if there are reasonable grounds to suspect the unlawful nature of the Order.

6. Payment via Stripe

  1. Payment is made through the Stripe payment infrastructure.
  2. The Client may use a bank card or other payment methods offered by Stripe and available for the specific country, currency or device.

  1. The estimated completion time is communicated to the Client when placing the Order.
  2. The time begins to run after receipt of payment and all documents and information necessary to perform the work.
  3. The standard time indicated on the Site is indicative, unless a specific time has been confirmed for a particular Order.
  4. The time may change due to the provision of incomplete or illegible documents, modification of the Order by the Client, or circumstances beyond Letre's reasonable control.

8. Sworn and Official Translations

  1. Where a sworn or other official translation is required, it is performed by a translator who has the necessary authority in accordance with applicable law.
  2. Requirements for official translations vary between states.
  3. The Client must indicate for which country or institution the document is intended, if this affects the form of translation or certification.
  4. Letre cannot guarantee the decision of a government authority, court, consulate, university, bank or other institution regarding the acceptance of a particular document.
  5. If the Client has informed in advance of the requirements of the relevant institution, Letre undertakes to take them into account when performing the Order within the scope of the provided service.

9. Electronic Delivery

If the Client has chosen an electronic form, the completed translation may be provided via the personal account, email, a secure link or another electronic means used by Letre.

The obligation of electronic transmission is deemed fulfilled once the Client is given the opportunity to obtain the relevant file, unless otherwise follows from applicable law or the conditions of a specific Order.

10. Physical Delivery

If the Client has ordered a paper copy or the return of originals, Letre may use third-party postal, courier operators and parcel locker operators.

To arrange delivery, the necessary contact and address data are transferred to the respective operator.

Available methods and delivery territory are determined when placing the Order.

11. Order Cancellation and Refund

11.1. General Policy

Since each translation is performed individually on the basis of the documents and requirements of a specific Client, Letre does not provide a voluntary refund for a fully performed service, except where the Client's relevant right is directly provided by mandatory applicable law.

11.2. EU/EEA Clients

If the Client is a consumer covered by EU law on distance contracts, the Client has a statutory right to withdraw from the contract in those cases where such a right is provided by law.

When placing the Order, the Client may expressly request that the service begin before the end of the statutory withdrawal period for the distance contract.

The Client thereby acknowledges that they understand: after the service is fully performed, they lose the right of withdrawal, if the conditions provided by law for such a loss of right are met.

If the Client lawfully withdraws from the contract after the start but before full performance of the service, the rules on payment for the part of the service already performed, established by the respective law, shall apply.

11.3. Clients outside the EU/EEA

For Clients located outside the EU/EEA, cancellation and refund are governed by these Terms and the mandatory norms of the law applicable to the respective Client or contract.

If mandatory law does not grant the Client a right to a refund after the performance of an individually ordered service, the payment for the performed service is non-refundable.

11.4. Improper Performance

This section does not affect the Client's mandatory rights in case of non-provision of the service or its improper performance.

12. Claims

  1. The Client may send a claim to info@letre.io.
  2. It is advisable to indicate the Order number, a description of the problem and the expected method of resolution.
  3. Letre considers the claim within the period established by applicable law, and where no period is established, without undue delay.
  4. Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, a justified claim may be resolved by correcting the translation, re-performing the relevant part of the work, reducing the cost or another remedy provided by law.

13. Liability

Letre undertakes to provide services with due professional care.

Letre is not liable for errors arising directly as a result of:

  • incorrect information provided by the Client;
  • poor quality or illegibility of the original;
  • errors in the original document;
  • the Client's failure to provide information about the special requirements of the recipient of the document.

Letre does not guarantee the outcome of any administrative, judicial, visa, immigration, educational or other proceeding for which the translation is used.

No limitation of liability in these Terms applies to the extent that such limitation is prohibited by mandatory law.

14. Intellectual Property

The Site, its design, software, trade names, texts and other proprietary materials of Letre are protected by intellectual property law.

The Client's documents remain the property of the Client or the respective rights holder.

Providing a document to Letre grants Letre the right to use it solely to the extent necessary for the assessment and performance of the Order and other lawful purposes described in the Privacy Policy.

15. Personal Data

Personal data is processed in accordance with Letre's Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law.

For persons located in the EU/EEA, the GDPR/RODO applies in cases provided by its territorial scope.

16. International Provision of Services

Letre provides services internationally.

The Client understands that:

  • laws on translation and certification of documents vary between states;
  • requirements of government authorities of different countries may differ;
  • certain services or delivery methods may be unavailable in certain countries;
  • payment processing may be carried out by international payment providers.

Letre may refuse to provide services in a jurisdiction if their provision is prohibited by law, sanctions restrictions or other mandatory requirements.

17. Applicable Law and Mandatory Consumer Rights

Unless mandatory law provides otherwise, the contractual relationship with Letre is governed by the law applicable to the Operator's activity and the respective contract.

However, the choice of applicable law does not deprive the consumer of the protection of the mandatory norms of the law of the country of their habitual residence, if such norms are applicable to the contract.

These Terms are not intended to limit rights that, under applicable law, cannot be limited by contract.

18. Changes to the Terms

Letre may change the Terms in connection with changes in legislation, the Site's functionality, payment infrastructure, methods of providing services or for other objective reasons.

The current version is published on the Site indicating the date of update.

Changes do not deprive the Client of already acquired mandatory rights.
